Cthulhu Cultist's Dagger

I just finished this dagger today.
It's not my usual kind of stuff, but it was a commission I received and as I was a sort of fan of Lovecraft's work, I loved the idea.

Well, the commission was based on a sketch of Cthulhu made by Lovecraft himself. The specifications were only "I want a dagger. I want a Cthulhu sculpture based on this sketch. I want it to look like it was made for a cultist, from R'lyeh". Then we decided the budget involved and I lit the forge.

The blade itself was forged to look like a tentacle, so that's why I made these holes. Also, it makes it look more classy. I left it unpolished because I don't think they would have this necessities on an island full of cultists trying to wake a really bad guy.
The handle is ebony, wrapped in rawhide strips that holds the blade in place. Those small green orbs are emeralds with a lot of black incursions. As R'lyeh is a blackish slimy place, I thought these gems would make justice to it's "origin".
The sculpture of the elder one is made from horn and is glued to the ebony with the help of a pin.

Now, of course, I'll have to make a fitting sheath for it.
