Hello, everyone. I was taking a look on my gallery on dA and decided to put down some of the images here. As I'm using it now as a professional space where I can show my works, I think it deserves a better quality on images and some of them are really bad, before I started to work with forgeworks professionally. Hope you all understand =)

Ok, the journal title isn't so accurate, as there are a lot of seaxes from Coppergate, but this is about the one I made. I'm very happy with this project and how it turned out, even with all it's flaws. Well, you can see it all on my blog below. I'll probably change it's address soon, but by now it remains with my name. And once I change it, i'll edit it here. http://vferreiraarruda.blogspot.com.br/2015/11/coppergate-2808-inspired-seax.html Thank you all for taking a time to read ;)

Hello, everyone. I've been missing for a very long time and I don't know exactly how I will be posting here, if often, if just sometimes, I don't know at all, but I'm alive and kind of well. Lately I'm working harder and harder. I finished my graduation in Arts and am able to make what I love most: forging things of iron and steel, mainly blades. Looking to my profile it's nice to see how things changed from some years ago to now. How I evolved and specialized on one or another kind of stuff. And how I wish to change things even more on the future. I used to cut some sheets of galvanized mildsteel to make blunt knives for training and now

Can you tell the difference between a hand made and a machine made sword?
and thanks once more. :)
Thanks for the fav. :)
You're welcome! =D
Good day Hjorverdr!  First of all, congratulations for your work as it's beautiful and eye candy.

One day I hope to become a smith too, and I like to work around some metal here and then, you are inspiring.

Would you mind if I asked you some questions from time to time?
Hello, CavFa! Thank you very much for the kind words. It's really nice to know I'm inspiring somebody =) You can ask me questions at any time you wish to. I'm not allways here on dA but whenever I read them I'll do my best to answer.
Take care!
Thank you very much.

I will ask one right away then!

If I made a shield Boss, How deep should the hammered area be, and how large.  Consider that it would be a shield boss for a 90cm round shield, with a central hand fitting hole that is 18cm large.
